About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our sales team. As the first point of contact for prospective customers, the SDR plays a critical role in the success of our sales pipeline. This individual will be responsible for researching accounts, generating new business opportunities, and qualifying leads for our sales team. Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Qualification:
Conduct high-volume outreach (calls, emails, social media) to prospective customers to assess their needs and identify potential sales opportunities.
Research and identify key contacts and target accounts using sales tools (e.g., CRM, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, etc.).
Qualify leads based on established criteria to ensure a high quality of hand-off to Account Executives.
Pipeline Management:
Diligent log and track all sales activities and progress in the CRM.
Maintain and clean the lead database to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Schedule discovery meetings and demonstrations for Associate Publisher, HBSD.
Collaboration & Strategy:
Work closely with the Marketing team to optimize campaigns and follow up on marketing-generated leads.
Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute targeted outreach strategies for specific accounts.
Provide market feedback and insights to the sales and product teams.
Professional Development:
Proactively learn about our industry, products, and value proposition to effectively articulate our offerings to prospects.
Consistently meet or exceed monthly quotas for qualified opportunities and meetings booked.
Job requirements
Experience & Education:
Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience in a related field.
1-3 years of experience in a sales development or business development role.
Previous experience in a Sales Development or Business Development role.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills—you must be comfortable on the phone and crafting professional, compelling emails.
Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to handle a high volume of activities.
Highly motivated, tenacious, and goal-oriented.
Proficiency with CRM software and Google Workspace is a plus.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
