About the Role:

The EnsembleIQ Marketing Team is responsible for strategic brand, sales, and event marketing initiatives that support revenue growth across 20+ media brands. This role is also closely aligned with EnsembleIQ’s Audience Development & Strategic Planning Team, which is responsible for developing, driving, engaging, and retaining media subscribers.  We are seeking a creative and strategic marketer to partner with the Sr. Director, Marketing, Brand Marketing Managers, and the Audience Development Team to provide comprehensive support for sales and brand marketing campaign execution, as well as search engine optimization, analysis, and recommendations for all EnsembleIQ brands. The Brand & SEO Marketing Manager will be an integral member of the team, requiring a blend of technical proficiency, strategic thinking, and project management skills to optimize marketing programs and improve audience & client experiences.

Responsibilities

Brand & Audience Marketing Responsibilities

  • Support the overall marketing strategy for various brands’ media and events in the U.S. and Canada, to ensure fulfillment of event, sales, and brand marketing objectives via a variety of marketing channels.

  • Cross-Brand & Team Coordination: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure the timely and quality execution of key marketing projects that span multiple brands and teams.

  • Marketing Analysis & Reporting: Support the measurement of marketing campaign results to inform marketing reporting and best practice development. This role also involves being an internal champion for these best practices by collecting and reporting on wins across the marketing team and larger company.

  • Sales Marketing: Liaison with the sales teams to understand marketing needs and gather details on what needs to be communicated. Contribute to campaigns and initiatives to drive brand/product awareness with customers, sponsors, and prospects—creating demand, nurturing interest, and generating qualified leads to increase the overall sales pipeline.

  • Event & Award Marketing: Participate in the execution and management of marketing campaigns for multiple B2B events and awards —driving interest, registration, attendance, nominations, and sponsorship leads throughout the event & award cycles; working closely with the brand team and with Event Operations. 

  • Audience Marketing: In partnership with Audience Development Managers, design marketing content and execute campaigns through various channels, including email, display ads, social media advertising, and telemarketing.

SEO Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive SEO analysis to identify opportunities for website and content optimization.

  • Analyze and recommend effective SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings.

  • Perform keyword research to identify relevant search terms and phrases.

  • Collaborate and inform best practices and provide recommendations to brand/content teams on optimizing website content, including meta tags, headings, and on-page content, for SEO.

  • Monitor website performance using analytics tools and adjust strategies accordingly.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and algorithm updates to ensure best SEO practices.

  • Research and advise on technical SEO enhancements, including website structure, site speed, and mobile optimization.

  • Conduct competitor analysis to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities.

  • Develop and present regular reports on SEO performance and provide insights for improvement.

  • Advise on backlink strategy to increase website authority and credibility.

  • Conduct regular audits to identify and address SEO issues and opportunities.

  • Work closely with web development, content and marketing teams to align SEO strategies with overall business goals.

  • Provide SEO training and guidance to team members and stakeholders.

  • Continuously assess and refine SEO tactics to drive sustainable organic growth.

Job requirements

  • 5+ years of B2B marketing experience, including

    • Event or webinar, and sales marketing experience

    • SEO 

    • Audience development experience is ideal

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or equivalent experience 

  • Previous B2B media/publishing experience preferred

  • Technical Proficiency

    • SEO: Solid understanding of SEO, web analytics, social media channels and paid digital marketing platforms.

    • Campaign Analysis: Skilled at measurement, tracking, and analysis of the performance of campaigns (A/B testing, benchmarketing, etc.). Comfortable using Google Sheets to manage data.

    • Copywriting: Strong marketing copywriting skills with attention to detail. Writing a marketing email, social posts, and sales collateral.

    • Design: A good eye for design and the ability to create visually engaging content.

    • Data Privacy Requirements: Familiar with data privacy and anti-spam policies and regulations at national and local levels (e.g. GDPR, CASL, CCPA, etc.) is ideal

  • Software Experience

    • Marketing Automation Tool: Experience with marketing data and ESPs, preferably Marketo

    • Website Traffic & Analysis Tools: Should be proficient in using a variety of systems and tools to effectively manage search engine optimization campaigns (Google Analytics, SEO platforms such as Moz, SEMrush, Similar Web, and Content Optimization Tools such as Yoast SEO or Surfer SEO)

    • Design Tool: Experience with Canva or Adobe Suite is required.

    • Proficiency in event and marketing platforms like Stripo, Hootsuite or Buffer, Swoogo, LinkedIn Ads, and Google Ads is a perk.

    • Process-driven & Organized: High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple competing deadlines at a time. Excellent prioritization and organizational skills required.

    • Adaptable: Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and efficiently in a fast-paced matrixed environment
