Key Responsibilities
Utilizes a consultative sales or needs-based selling approach to connect with key clients and stakeholders of technology solution providers to offer solutions to their business growth and marketing challenges and objectives
Creatively develops strategic and integrated media programs (digital, event sponsorships/exhibit space, custom media, research), presents to clients, closes deals
Follows closed sales through to execution, delivery, client success and renewal/upsale
Accurately forecasts and projects monthly and quarterly revenue, with a keen eye on pipeline development to achieve sales goals, in CRM - and other reports as needed
Conducts productive sales calls with clients - in-person, via video, or via teleconference
Attends industry trade events to meet clients and prospect for new business - serving as company ambassador, exuding a high level of professionalism and industry knowledge
Meets/exceeds annual sales goals
Forecasts churn, uncovers new business, and grows existing client business
Performs as a team player on internal calls across events, editorial, marketing, and production
Shares customer feedback, learnings, insights with internal team
Represents membership and other relevant opportunities to clients, seeking support from internal team subject matter experts in membership, and other areas, when needed
Continuously keeps up-to-date on client, company and industry intelligence
10+ years experience selling marketing programs or solutions to B2B technology solution providers
Bachelor’s Degree required
Successful experience selling B2B integrated (digital, event sponsorships and research) media with an emphasis on digital and events
Exceptional track record for exceeding digital sales targets and managing complex client relationships
Demonstrable track record for strategic, consultative selling, with cross-platform experience
Sales experience in building pipeline, prospecting, managing existing business
Adaptability to authentically connect and understand different businesses and people
Highly organized, exceptional follow through, strong verbal and written communication skills
Comfortable with using online CRM program; Launchpad experience a plus
Can travel at least 30% of the time
