Job title: Membership Development Executive - Path to Purchase Institute

Location: Chicago, IL

As the Membership Development Executive for the Path to Purchase Institute, you will be responsible for driving new memberships and meeting/exceeding annual membership revenue goals.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Aggressively works to sell new Institute memberships, both corporate and individual, and enables the Institute to meet/exceed annual membership revenue goals
  • Effectively advises and influences new memberships with consultative selling style
  • Researches the member environment to identify key opportunity areas for growth
  • Articulate member benefits and solutions in terms of value and ROI to prospective members
  • Relies on excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to initiate and maintain executive-level interaction and customer satisfaction
  • Develops new business opportunities and works collaborative with the rest of the P2PI sales team
  • Provides client and prospect feedback to improve new services for Institute members
  • Capitalize on industry knowledge and contacts to uncover business opportunities
  • Attends P2PI industry events
  • Some travel may be required

Job requirements

A successful candidate should be driven, creative, a self-starter and a strategic thinker. Candidates must possess the ability to lead as well as work in a team environment.

● 3+ years of experience selling services and/or marketing solutions specifically in the advertising and/or shopper marketing space

● Demonstrated success in sales. High percentage success record for making sales goals

● Demonstrated success managing a large account relationship

● Demonstrated ability to work independently as a self-starter, but also in a team sales environment

● Demonstrated success developing new account leads

● Has strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly and effectively; has professional demeanor

● Possesses attention to detail and has data management skill

● Comprehensive retail and consumer goods industry knowledge is preferred

● Experience working with or selling to Fortune 500 accounts in the consumer goods vertical is a plus
