Billing Analyst - Remote in Canada

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Routine Billing - Completion of the monthly billing cycle and/or Revenue Recognition.

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure billing accuracy

  • Special Billing - Creation and verification of supporting documentation of the invoice for both internal and customer needs

  • Ensure that all billing calculations are correct before sending invoices to customers.

  • Ensure the billing is being directed to the correct contact before distribution

  • Resolve any billing issues

  • Answer customer inquiries related to invoices

  • Understand the requirements and motions of uploading invoices into a Customers Accounting Portal.

  • Understand the importance of transaction date and an Accounting Period.

  • Ad Hoc projects

  • Reconcile billing records

  • Produces and maintain monthly reports for management

Job requirements

  • High School diploma required. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered when education is directly related to the functions of the job

  • 1-3 years previous billing experience or comparable experience required

  • Must be technically proficient.

  • MS Word, Excel, Google Sheets proficiency required

  • Excellent math aptitude and understanding of general accounting principles

  • Highly professional approach to responding to requests and demonstrated ability to provide quality customer service

  • Excellent attention to detail, developed organizational skill, and excellent follow up skills

  • Strong writing, speaking, and customer service skills are needed

  • Strong use of judgment and interpersonal skills

  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Proven ability to prioritize responsibilities/tasks

  • Demonstrated self-starter with the desire to show ownership and commitment to the job

  • Must have a can-do attitude and willingness to work harmoniously and effectively independently as a team member

  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

  • Ability to identify problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
